Heptathlon 200 and Shot Put


Shocker Tanya Friesen ran a 25.06 to take first place in the women’s heptathlon 200-meters.

Wichita State’s Sarah Gilbert finished second in the heptathlon shot put this afternoon with a throw of 33 feet 11 ¼ inches.

After four heptathlon events, Malaikah Love of Southern Illinois leads with 3,252 points. Wichita State’s Friesen is in second with 3,116 points. Shocker Witney Sorell is in third with 2,795. Shocker Jamie Pruter holds fifth place with 2,713 points and Gilbert is in sixth with 2,712 points.
